The garden or forest surrounding the castle, 'het Bos van Krantz', is a beautiful walking area. It was the home of the lords of Warmond. Although it dates from the Middle Ages, in its present form it is a late 18th century " country estate". The Van den Woude family occupied the castle from about 1300 to 1525.
